About Alpine Waste
& Recycling
Founded
in 1999, Alpine Waste & Recycling is the largest privately
held commercial waste and recycling collection company in
the Denver area. Named one of the top 25 fastest growing Colorado
companies every year between 2003-2006, Alpine has parlayed
a customer-service focus into a compound annual revenue growth
rate of greater than 40 percent. By 2006, Alpine had a customer
base of nearly 2,000.
From its beginnings as a single-truck operation called Alpine
Disposal serving Aurora, Colo., Alpine has grown to a company
of more than 30 trucks and more than 50 employees. The fleet
consists of rear-end load trucks, front-end load trucks, roll-off
waste trucks, dedicated mobile service trucks, a container
delivery truck and trailers. Alpine hauls nearly 100,000 tons
of waste per year.
Some of Alpine’s customers include Whole Foods, Wild
Oats and CB Richard Ellis. Alpine focuses its business on
commercial accounts; however, Alpine’s largest customer
accounts for only 2.5 percent of revenues. The company recently
changed its name to Alpine Waste & Recycling from Alpine
Waste Solutions.
Alpine has established a fiercely loyal customer base by providing
a high level of service in the field. An extensive maintenance
program for its rolling stock translates into dependable equipment
and reliable service. Alpine puts a GPS tracking device and
digital camera in each of its service vehicles, allowing the
company to maintain accurate records of customer service activities
and communicate effectively with its customers. The Better
Business Bureau has recognized Alpine with its highest mark
of distinction, the Gold Star Award, in four straight years
beginning in 2003. The award goes to companies against which
no complaints were registered during the year.
